Every company has a story to tell and J&J Boat Services is no exception. What began as a side job on weekends, J&J Boat Services is now one of the premier marine diving and boat detailing company serving customers in Brunswick and New Hanover County in North Carolina.
Company History
Humble Beginnings
What began as a part-time job to help pay for college is now a thriving reality for the entire Team at J&J Boat Services. The idea of taking something that was merely a means of getting us through school to becoming a well-respected industry name has been humbling, to say the least.
Built on hard work, integrity, respect, and quality to name a few was the foundation that J&J was built on and continues to carry to this day. From the moment you contact us, to the moment we deliver the service, we strive to meet your expectations.

The Faces Behind the Operation
Justin
Owner
Justin is a native of Jacksonville, NC who loves boating, surfing and anything on or around the water. His 20+ years of management & sales experience, love of the ocean and extensive marine industry knowledge naturally helped form J&J’s. His desire to work along side Janna, mentor and give back to the community, and extreme drive for success continue to ensure profitable growth for the company.
Janna
Owner
Janna is a native of Winston Salem, NC and has lived in Topsail Island and Wilmington, NC most of her life. Her 20+ years of bookkeeping and office administration are an integral part of the organization’s success. Janna’s passion for health & wellness, desire to ensure work family balance, and background in social work are key contributors to the overall stability of our staff and the company.
Rich
Operations Manager
Rich is a native of Vermont but moved to the coastal Carolina region 15+ years ago and has hung his snow boots and jacket up permanently! He came aboard J&J’s back in 2008 and has been in all facets of the business along the way which is why we are proud to now have him as our General Manager. His prior experiences, team leadership skills, ability to multi-task and willingness to learn are just some of the natural talents he carries to help move and carry on the vision at J&J’s.

As the first point of contact for all new customers, Josh’s approachable demeanor and commitment to customer satisfaction underscore his role in our company’s growth and success. Managing our social media channels, website, and brand profiles, Josh ensures that our digital presence is not just strong, but exemplary.
Lucian
QC Manager
With an exceptional eye for detail and a steadfast commitment to excellence, Lucian plays a crucial role in maintaining the impeccable standards that define us. Overseeing all detailing quality control checks across both Brunswick and New Hanover Counties, Lucian’s diligent approach ensures every job we undertake not only meets but exceeds our rigorous quality standards.

Dive Manager
With his remarkable leadership skills and expertise in marine diving, Matthew oversees all our dive technicians, ensuring a high standard of service. His commitment to excellence and his focus on continuous improvement make him an invaluable asset to the J&J family.
Walter
Brunswick Detail Supervisor
Logan leads the Brunswick County detailing team with a strong focus on quality and team performance. Logan does a phenomenal job making sure our detailing services exceed expectations, while maintaining our commitment to excellence.
Alex
New Hanover Detail Supervisor
Alex oversees our skilled team of detailing technicians across New Hanover County. He is instrumental in guiding and training our new hires, instilling in them our high standards of consistent results.
